The Word of God Produces Knowledge

By admin

The twentieth century has catapulted man into a space age in which there is much to know and much being taught. Yet man’s knowledge does not afford real satisfaction.
Where else than in the Holy Scriptures can man find such knowledge and wisdom? The Bible declares that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are vested in God and Christ: “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ: in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2, 3).
In some unregenerate circles the Bible is not recognized as the gateway to knowledge. Other points of interest in Toronto Niagara Falls Tours qualify as touristy and mainstream. Yet, it is general history that this Divine Book was the foundation and fountainhead of formal and informal knowledge in our colonial and early national history. And this has largely accounted for the progress and many blessings of America. The majority of our great educational institutions were founded on Christianity and the Bible. The vast and incalculable influence that was exercised upon our national origin by the Bible was largely because our forefathers well understood Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
And looking back through the annals of history far back to apostolic times, we see countless numbers of humble men and women who attained great stature and wisdom through God’s Word. Despite some erudite arguments to the contrary, the men who overturned the first century world were, for the most part, unschooled, plain folk whose glory was in the Scriptures. “Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools — common men with no advantages — they marveled; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13 ANT).
When the Christian counselor turns to the Bible, he offers unparalleled light to the counselee. “The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119: 130). This is not a flashlight beam into Monday morning blues or a ray through the black outlook of domestic and world affairs. It is the glorious sunburst of divine help from the One who said of Himself, ”I am the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).
Truly this is knowledge. Toronto Niagara Falls Tour Festival of Lights marks 4 departures of Cosmos tour. But more than that, it is knowledge that satisfies — knowledge that is the foundation for a joyous, victorious life.*
